More Wind Power Coming to North Dakota

Florida-based NextEra Energy Resources (formerly FPL Energy) announced today that it is expanding two existing wind farms in North Dakota. The first, near Wilton in northern Burleigh County, will add 49.5 megawatts. The second, north of Valley City, will add 120 megawatts. NextEra will invest $300 million in the expansion effort. To date, the company has invested over $1 billion in wind power projects in the state.
