U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu has announced the first round of funding from $1.4 billion allocated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The funding is for 12 projects that will capture CO2 from industrial sources for storage or beneficial use. North Dakota is not among the states where projects will be funded this round.
