Sequoia Energy of Winnipeg, Manitoba is planning to build a 150-megawatt wind farm in Rollette County. The company originally filed an application for the project with the North Dakota Public Service Commission in October, 2008. The original plan, which included Towner and Rollette counties, was revised in September.
The PSC held a public hearing on November 3 and expects to announce its decision by early December. If approved, the wind farm will be called the Border Winds Energy Project and include 56 turbines.
