BLM Lease Sales Suspended

The Bureau of Land Management has suspended plans to sell 91,000 acres of oil and gas leases in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota this month pending a study of the role of oilfield activities in climate change. Lease sales scheduled for June and August also are likely to be postponed since federal officials do not believe their environemental review would  be complete until September. Read more.
