Weekly Bakken Summary

At week's end there were 119 active rigs in the state, up three from last week. The numbers by county are...

A total of 22 permits were issued during the week.  Six of these went to Hess, all on 5/28 and all for the Robinson Lake prospect in Mountrail County. (Click drilling permits in the topics sidebar to see a list of the most recent permits by date.)

Initial flow rates as reported on well files released from confidential status ranged from 148 bopd for an EOG well in Mountrail County to 3308 bopd for a Whiting well, also in Mountrail. Whiting also reported flowback rates of 2286 bopd and 2080 bopd, also in Mountrail. The next highest rate was reported by Burlington, 1798 bopd in McKenzie County.
