PSC Says Coal Mine Application Complete

The North Dakota Public Service Commission today announced that the application for a coal mine proposed for west of Dickinson is now complete. A public comment period and informal hearing are the next steps for the project, which is intended to supply lignite to a nearby $2.2 billion electric power plant. The plant will convert lignite to synthetic gas and hydrogen, which will be used to power electric turbines designed to generate up to 175 megawatts of power. Read more...
