According to a report out today from SolveClimate News, approximately 90 percent of the 5,354 U.S. landowners along the route of the proposed TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline have completed negotiations on easements--a total of 4,750 property owners with 6,744 tracts of land. According to SolveClimate, the remaining 604 landowners are either in settlement negotiations on their 1,116 parcels or have filed legal challenges to TransCanada's eminent domain rights.
