New Fracking Information Website

A new website called FracFocus went online this week. The site is a joint project of the Ground Water Protection Council and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission and is intended "to provide the public with objective information on hydraulic fracturing, the chemicals used, the purposes they serve and the means by which groundwater is protected." When the data base is complete, users will be able to enter a state, county, and well number and see what chemicals were used in the fracturing process, according to the site's home page. Read more...
