Coal Mine Permit Denied Again

The Bismarck Tribune reported today that the North Dakota Public Service Commission has again rejected a permit application for a coal mine west of Dickinson.  After reviewing the application, the PSC found more than 400 technical deficiencies that will have to be corrected before the permit process can go ahead, according to the Tribune article. The company, a subsidiary of Great Northern Development Corp., previously filed permit applications in March 2010 and November 2010. Both were rejected due to numerous deficiencies.
