Active rig total - 190 down two from yesterday.

Total permits approved - 12 - three in Williams (all to Hess), seven in McKenzie (six to Burlington and  one to Liberty) and two in Stark (both to Whiting). Read more

• The North Dakota Public Service Commission has approved the site plan for a $160 million natural gas processing plant to be built by Oklahoma-based Oneok in the northwestern part of the state. When completed, the plant will be able to process 100 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Oneok has two gas processing plants in North Dakota and two others under construction. Read more...

• Salt Lake City-based Savage has completed construction of its rail terminal located near Trenton with direct connection to BNSF Railway’s main line track. The terminal is strategically located to gather crude oil from the Williston Basin and Bakken Shale and facilitate the transport of crude to key refinery markets. The terminal provides area oil producers with inbound gathering access through truck receiving stations, pipeline connections and crude oil tankage. Outbound delivery of crude oil is served by a double loop track capable of holding two 118 car unit trains. Read more...
