New Transmission Line Route Approved

The North Dakota Public Service Commission reportedly has approved the route for a new power line to run from Fargo to St. Cloud, Minnesota. The new line is part of the controversial CapX2020 project that supporters say will increase North Dakota's power export capabilities. According to the Associated Press, the commission voted 2-1 on Wednesday in favor of the proposed 33-mile portion of the route from the Bison Substation, eight miles northwest of Fargo, to the Minnesota border.
