New IEA Oil Output Projections for Iraq

The International Energy Agency has released a new report that predicts Iraq will make by far the largest contribution to global oil supply growth over the coming decades. According to the report, Iraq's current production of 3 million barrels per day (mb/d) more than will double by 2020 and continue on to reach more than 8 mb/d by 2035. The IEA believes Iraq will become a key supplier to rapidly expanding Asian markets, mainly China, and beome the world’s second largest oil exporter by the 2030s, overtaking Russia. Read more
