Keystone XL Update

Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman has approved the revised route for the proposed Keysone XL pipeline reviewed in the final evaluation report submitted earlier his month, which avoids the environmentally-sensitive Sand Hills region of Nebraska. Gov. Heineman sent a  letter  (see link below) to President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton, notifying them of the accepted Nebraska route. According to a Reuters report, the Obama administration has indicated that a decision on the Keystone XL won't be made until after March. However, a letter signed by over 50 U.S. Senators on Wednesday states that the Nebraska governor's decision should make it possible for the Federal government to act promptly on the matter.
