Delta Jet Fuel Refinery Update

Reuters reported today that the jet fuel refinery owned by Delta Airlines in Trainer, Pennsylvania received its first rail shipment of Bakken crude in February and expects to begin receiving regular shipments by mid-2013. A Delta official did not specify exact amounts, saying that the company is negotiating crude supply and transportation details and would make an announcement on the outcome in the next 60 days. Delta began making jet fuel at the refinery in September and expects to be producing 40,000 barrels per day by the end of the year, according to Reuters.
