EPA Announces New Fracking Study Panel

A new independent group of academics and experts has been created to analyze the Environmental Protection Agency's research on hydraulic fracturing. The group, officially known as the Hydraulic Fracturing Research Advisory Panel, was created by the EPA’s Science Advisory Board to review a congressionally ordered report looking at the potential adverse effects of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water. The report is to be used to determinine whether the Obama administration should enact new regulations. Read more
