Statoil to Test Recycled Water for Fracking

A pilot project to test the use of recycled water for fracking reportedly has been tentatively approved by the North Dakota Industrial Commission. The project will be conducted by Statoil at two wells at a site in Williams County. If successful, the use of treated fracking wastewater is expected to save approximately 6.5 million gallons of freshwater otherwise needed for the two wells. More
