An Arizona steel fabricator has announced plans to build a wind tower manufacturing plant at the Northern Plains Commerce Centre in Bismarck this year. Schuff Steel of Phoenix stated in a press release on Friday that the facility would be 200,000 square feet, occupy 70 acres and employ between 250 and 300 people.
The company received $7 million in federal tax incentives in January through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which allocated money for clean energy projects. The federal assistance requires the company to build in Bismarck
