Minnesota-based Northern Oil & Gas reported a 45% increase in production volumes compared to the previous quarter and a 182% increase over the third quarter of 2009. The total quarterly volume was a record 250,129 barrels of oil equivalent.
The company announced that it is participating in the drilling or completion of 91 gross Bakken or Three Forks wells (10.72 net wells) and has spud approximately 23.68 net wells during 2010.
Year-to-date, Northern reports it has acquired approximately 38,864 net acres in the Williston Basin and expects to continue to take advantage of opportunites to acquire acreage throughout the remainder of 2010 and 2011.
