TransCanada Corp. announced yesterday that it has reached easement agreements with 83 percent of the landowners in 10 states along the proposed route of the Keystone XL petroleum pipeline. The company says 87 percent of the landowners in the Nebraska Sand Hills--where environmentalists say the pipeliine could adversely impact water supplies--have signed agreements.
