Tappin' the Bakken

The 10th edition of Tappin' the Bakken has been published by the Sidney Herald. The publication highlights activity in the Montana side of the Bakken formation, specifically in the Elm Coulee Field in Richland County.

An article included in the publication states that over 80 million barrels have been produced in Elm Coulee since 2000. The latest estimate of recoverable reserves is approximately 120 million barrels using today's technology. The present per day production is estimated at approximately 40,000 barrels.

Oil activity in the Sidney area was recently featured in an article on the BBC News website.
